Canada!

It was the first visit for Toni, Erin and me to Canada! Our friend Lori accompanied us for the day. We took the Washington State Ferry to Sidney, British Columbia leaving from the Anacortes ferry station. We rode on the Elwha both to and from Sidney.

It was pretty nippy in the morning when we were waiting for our ferry. We lined up our car since we were taking it with us on the trip. I found it interesting taking a vehicle on a boat. The sailed around two and a half hours each way through the San Juan Islands, which were very beautiful.
While on Vancouver Island, we visited the beautiful Butchart Gardens, celebrating its 100th anniversary and experienced afternoon tea at the Fairmont Empress hotel in Victoria.

It was quite a long day for all involved, but we experienced many new things.
