Hawaiian 105 KINE

Thursday, 5 Aug 2004 | Music

While in Hawaii with my dad last month, we both enjoyed listening to Hawaiian music in the rental car each day as we travelled from place to place.

I had forgotten which station we liked so much, so I asked my dad today if he recalled the call letters. He told me that it was KINE. I think KINE refers to slang for kind, as in "You know da KINE." Well, I took the liberty to look the station up on the web so I would remember where to tune when I get back to Honolulu someday.

You can find out more about them at Hawaiian 105 KINE. They have an on-air broadcast at their site. Or better yet, if your travels take you to Oahu, make it a point to take a listen. It'll get you in the island mood and you'll be hanging loose in no time. ;)

I love KINE. I had to go to Honolulu 3 times last year and stayed at my office. I had it on all day. I miss it so much. I try and have it on here in my office on the computer everyday, in Houston, TX.

Yes, I can't wait to go back this summer and listen to it while I'm there. It just sets the mood for me. :)
