Mission Inn Restaurant

After church, I took Toni and my dad to Sunday Champagne Brunch at the Historic Mission Inn in Riverside, California.

We had a nice sampling of the numerous offerings at the buffet. They had the largest baron of beef I've ever seen as well as baked ham. They had made to order omelettes and fresh pancakes and Belgian waffles with strawberries. They also had a nice selection of fresh fruit and seafood too. The freshly squeezed orange juice, champagne and coffee were delicious. A table of yummy desserts finished it all off.

My dad tried creme brulee for the first time and loved it. I was amazed how quickly the creme brulee was going. I'll have to make creme brulee for him sometime now that I know he likes it so much. I love using my propne torch to carmelize the sugar to a golden brown on top. The cruncy sugar contrasts so nicely with the vanilla custard! :)
