Safe in Seattle

We arrived safely in Seattle this afternoon. We picked up our rental car and easily found our hotel thanks to the Hertz Neverlost GPS system in our Nissan Maxima rental car.

It was a very nice birthday since it was the first day of my vacation. We went to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner. The food was yummy. And we all shared a slice of their cheesecake for dessert. Toni told the waiter it was my birthday, so they came over and sang me a somewhat embarassing version of happy birthday.

Erin and I are waking up at some crazy hour of the morning to reach Kerry Park before morning light so I can set up my camera and tripod to get a shot of the Seattle skyline. I'm hoping for some nice pictures. I'll also try to catch the city at dusk.
