Disneyland's Air Launched Fireworks

Disneyland has developed and is using a new fireworks launching system that utilizes compressed air instead of the traditional black powder ignition system.

The Disney Imagineering developed system uses 330 long metal tubes to launch pyrotechnics for Disneyland Park's Imagine...A Fantasy in the Sky fireworks extravaganza. The new system is cleaner, quieter, safer and allows for higher and more precise launches for even more possiblities to light up the sky over Sleeping Beauty Castle. I'm sure this innovation will make the new fireworks show for Disneyland's 50th birthday celebration better than ever.
