National Geographic Pictures of the Year

National Geographic's website has downloadable wallpapers featuring their Pictures of the Year 2004. I've always admired their photographers' works. The images tell me that capturing color and simplicity are key to dynamic photography.

Check out the gallery, National Geographic's Greatest Portraits too. I love how they capture the essence and emotion of the subjects.
