Family Consolation

Wednesday, 26 Jan 2005 | Family

This morning on my drive to work, my nephew Antonio called to tell me that he was very sorry that Muffin died. He said he knew what it was like because he had experienced losing three pets. He had lost a dog named Lucky and two fishes named Freddy and Blue Ginger. It was cute that he was concerned about how I was doing.

Toni told me that my sister-in-law Diana had called yesterday to check on me too. It's nice to have family around to console you when life gets difficult.

I'm so sorry about your cat; my consolances may have arrived a little late, though. I've been through several pet losses, and each one brought the same feeling of loss and emptiness.

Thank you. I know exactly how you feel now.
