Bluetooth Headset Idea

Sunday, 24 Jul 2005 | Observations

Some of my colleagues at work just got new Motorola mobile phones with Bluetooth wireless headsets recently. Since then, I've been noticing more and more people using wireless headsets. When I go out in public, it's kind of funny to me that some people wear them all the time. I don't know if they just like the technology so much or just think it's cool to have them on.

On Friday, I was eating at California Pizza Kitchen and noticed a guy wearing one all through lunch. He was with three ladies and seemed to be having a great time. Well, I'm not too keen on having things to impress people or look cool, but it gave me an idea.

The other day, I noticed someone wearing a hearing aid. It was one of those old fashioned ones that go around the ear. You know, the plastic looking ones that are made in a telephone beige. I know there's new ones you can get that are tiny to fit in the ear canal, but they're not affordable for everyone. So then it hit me. Why not make one that mimics the look of a Bluetooth wireless headset? It wouldn't be very exensive and would look very cool. I feel for people who are handicapped in some way and think this would help to make them feel good and fit in.
