I'm Walking
Sunday, 24 Jul 2005 | Daily
I told Toni that I'm going to start taking walks early in the morning before going to work. I am notoriously not a morning person, so the getting up part is gonna kill me, but I think morning makes the best sense for me. I always shower in the morning and after a long day at work and my 2.5 to 3 hour commute, I just want to kick back and relax. And even if I could get the motivation up to walk, I'd have to shower in the evening as well as in the morning.
Ok, now I've commited to it and told the entire world, so I guess I have to do it. BTW, if you ask how my morning walks are going and I get cranky, you can safely assume I wasn't succesful. LOL

I LOVE walking! Just tonight, I walked along the seawall in Vancouver with my sister. It was so nice w/ the sun setting, cool breeze, and passing other people who were doing the same thing...enjoying the summer night. Good luck with the walking, I know you can do it especially w/ your ipod in hand!

Vangirl - Thanks for the support! :)
Actually, I love to walk too, it's getting up early and deciding to do it that's difficult. I'm happy to report I did get up for my walk today and feel very good because of it, both mentally and physically!

That's really great, Michael! Excercising of any sort in the morning is so great, for me it gives me energy for the day. I also don't like waking up in the mornings, but it's well worth it right? Yay! :D

Geeze... I used to think commuting from Northern Virginia 50 miles home in 1-1.5, and many times 2 hours was bad. What distance do you travel?

My traveling distance each way is about 79 miles.
