It was an exciting game last night when I witnessed the Angels eliminate the Yankees from the postseason with a 5-3 win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Bartolo Colon, the starting pitcher, was taken out of the game in the second inning because of shoulder pain, but Ervin Santana took over in good form. The fans were cheering as loud as ever in the packed stadium and we were on our feet for most of the game. There seemed to be fewer Yankees fans than usual, perhaps due to the last game being played a day late. It was a nail biter the whole time. Francisco Rodriquez pitched for the last out in the eighth and closed the game in the ninth.

Now it's on to Chicago today to play the first game of the American League Championship Series against the White Sox. The Sox will be tough to beat, but I'll be hoping the Halos can come through to play in the World Series. ;D
