XX Olympic Winter Games

In 2006, Torino, Italy is the venue for the XX Olympic Winter Games. I am very eager to watch the Olympics beginning February 10th running through February 26th. Torino is the Italian name for the city of Turin in north-western Italy.

Since I was a little kid, I have loved watching the Olympics. I used to watch intently with my dad. My favorite sport is definitely figure skating. I've been fascinated with ski jumping as long as I can remember. I frankly don't know how they muster up the courage to fly down those huge ramps and fly through the air. The only problem is there are so many events, it's hard to catch it all.

Kathya - You really should make a trip to Torino even if just to see the festivities and items for sale. I'm sure there are tons of great picture opportunities too. Maybe you could go with Yasmina.

The opening ceremonies and torch lighting is tonight! :)
