White Sandwich Bread

1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
3 to 3 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1/4 cup dry milk, non-fat powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/4 cups water
4 tablespoons butter or margarine, cut into pieces

Place the ingredients in the pan of your machine in the order indicated. Place the pan in the machine, program your machine for its basic setting, and press Start.
