Nana's Surgery

Toni's mother underwent surgery today on her uterus and pelvis at UCI Medical Center. I am happy to report she came through with flying colors. We arrived at the hospital at 5:45 am. Her surgery began at 8:00 am and lasted about 5 hours. The staff at UCI Medical Center and her surgeon were wonderful. They kept us abreast of the progress and mom's condition throughout the day.

Mom looked so cute as they wheeled her away for the surgery. She had a little hair cap on her head and lipstick on her mouth. I could tell she was nervous, but everything turned out just fine. When I saw her in her room after the surgery, she looked amazingly good. She said she wasn't feeling any pain and she had a nice smile on her face. In fact, she was wanting to eat a meal already. Unfortunately, she is not allowed to eat anything until tomorrow. I bought mom a cute balloon wishing her a speedy recovery which she liked very much.
