Two Year Anniversary

Sunday, 12 Mar 2006 | Family

Today, my dad came to our house to visit because it has been two years since my mother passed away. We all miss her dearly and it's nice to get together for mutual support. I try to do as much as possible with my dad since he's by himself now. Plus, he's just nice to be around. He's the best father and I'm so blessed to have him in my life.

We had an early dinner at On the Border, one of our favorite places to go for fajitas. For dessert, we shared an apple crisp served on a sizzling fajita plate which was very good. Afterward, we came back to our house to talk and visit into the evening.

I wanted to let you know that I finally asked my mom if she ever said she found me under a bridge and if that was a Korean thing. She sounded puzzled at first, said it never occured to her, but admitted that it sounded like the kind of thing that might be joked about.

Then she remembered when I was a kid and they had my baby sister, they told me they got her at Kmart! Ahah! Not the same as under a bridge... but along those lines.

Now I must commence teasing my sister that she was a blue light special.

ljc - Thanks for remembering to share that. It's so interesting about these Asian child stories. ;)
