Woodcrest Defeats Poly!
Thursday, 2 Mar 2006 | Family
I received a call this morning from Erin saying they won last night's mock trial competition against Poly High School. I was so happy to hear this. It was an important victory because Poly has won the last four years and was most likely Woodcrest Christian High School's toughest competitor.
Now it's down to the four final teams who will battle it out on Saturday. There will be a trial at 9 o'clock in the morning eliminating two teams and a final trial in the afternoon to determine the local winner. Woodcrest will be going against North High School in the morning trial. I'll be there with Erin cheering for her team.

Congratulations to her! That is no small feat. And in the face of the 'seasoned' winners. Excellent.
I enjoy following your blog. You have excellent photographs and you reconnect me to the Riverside area (Cal Baptist alum and former attender of Harvest).

Belfathus - Thanks! I am very proud of Erin and her team. It's neat to know my blog helps you to remember living in the Riverside area.

Congratulations Erin! :)
A friend of mine lives in San Luis Obispo, CA and his daughter is also competing in Mock Trial. I wonder if they'll compete against each other?

Josie - Thank you. It's not likely they'll compete against Erin's team since they would both have to go to the California State Finals to even have a chance to meet each other. But it's reallly cool that your friend's daughter is participating in mock trial too. :)
